All Church Mission Trip 2011
June 25-July2, 2011 All-Church Mission Trip to Hosana Industies, Inc. Since 1990, HI has completed over 2200 projects in the local Pittsburgh Region and throughout the nation while leading volunteers for over 133,000 volunteer workdays. The total market value for these projects exceeds $26 million while the mission has only spent approixmately $12 million for this work as groups like NSCC volunteers come the share their talents.
The youth of NSCC were blessed to work alongside Hosanna's dedicated, trained staff to construct a community center in July 2010.
Commissioning of Hosanna Mission Team
May 22, 2011 fourteen Mission Team workers were commissioned at the 10:30 worship service.
Reverand Sue Lefeber welcomed the team "who have responded to a call to Christ's service. They have been called to join with others in ministering to the physical and spiritual needs of God's people at Hosanna Industries in Pennsylvania".
Reverand Karl D. Schimpf gave each of the team a cross and asked them to give them away to someone they have met in Pennsylvania who needs hope. I am convinced that God is building a family for eternity. I'm going to ask when they return from their adventure to share their stories with us and let us know to whom they gave their cross that we might rejoice as people of God, answering God's call to adventure...
