Health Ministry
Health ministry at North Shore Congregational Church consists of a Parish Nurse, and seven great volunteer team members. They meet monthly to plan and keep abreast of the many wellness needs of the congregation.
The purpose is to encourage all members to be well of body, mind, and spirit, for we know when one part of us is not well, the other parts suffer.
NSCC Flu Clinic is a convenient place to get your flu shot on each fall. A special cost reduction will be given.
Areas in which we serve includes:

*Blood Pressure screenings the 1st and 3rdSunday of each month. |
*Grief booklets and information are sent to congrgants who have lost a family member. |
| *Train members in CPR and use of the defibrillator(AED). | *Stephen Ministry provides crisis care for our members. |
| *Provide speakers and programs on health related topics. | *Advocacy is prompted. |
| *Provide health teaching. |
*Health care referral assistance is provided for home care. |
| *Write monthly news letter articles. | *Card ministry is ongoing. |
| *Our soupers group makes soups and bread to give to those in need. | *Arrange communion to be given to shut-ins. |
| *Blood Drives. | *The Parish Nurse assists with health issues and provides information and resources when contacted. |
| *Continuing a connection through visitation ministry is ingoing and those visiting meet once a month. We see people in their homes, hospitals, and health care facilitites. | *A ministry of outreach through audio recordings of worship, and mailing of sermons and bulletins happens weekly. |
| *Monthly visits are made by the Parish Nurse to two long lerm care facilities. We combine fun, fellowship, worship, church update and the latest health issues for our senior piligrims. |
