Education: Middlebury College (BA), 1976, Magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, University of Dubuque Theological Seminary (M.Div.), 2004, Academic Achievement and Theology Awards, Congregational Foundation for Theological Studies, 2005, John Claxton Award for Congregational Excellence, University of Dubuque Theological Seminary (D.Min, in Missional Spirituality), course work begun 2009, estimated completion 2013
Interests: Theology and Bible study, reading, writing, teaching, theater and performing arts, nature, biking, walking, cooking (ask me about my cheesecake), and knitting - prayer shawls, baby sweaters, and mountains of socks!
Favorite Bible verses: "My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth." (Psalm 121:2) All that we have - and all that we are - come from God, who loves us more than life itself.
"And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his Glory, the glory as a of a father's only son, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14) The Greek says that he "pitched his tent" among us - imagine Jesus pulling up at the campground next door! His feet have touched this earth, and he knows everything about our lives because he has been here. What amazing love!
