Senior Minister - Reverend Karl Schimpf

Interests: biblical archaeology, travel to the Holy Land and Missions in various parts of the world, stamp collecting and gardening.

Favorite quotes or expressions: "Praise be to Jesus," when something unexpected and wonderful happens in someone's life. "This is the day which the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!" Almost every day.

Favorite Bible passage: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Phil. 4: 13) and "All things work together for good to those who love Christ." (Romans 8: 28)

Interests: tennis player, 80s music enthusiast, Star Trek buff, guitar player.

(John 13:34a) THE CREATIVE WORD by Walter Brueggemann: "Henry Nouwen made a journey to India to explore with Mother Teresa the clue to faithful living. If anyone would know, it was she. Faced with such a profound question, her answer shocks with simplicity: "Spend an hour with God each day and don't do anything you know is wrong."

Favorite Bible verse: The Sheep and the Goats passage from Matthew 25:31-46. (What better summary of the mandate for Christian compassion? This passage, unique to Matthew, really challenges each of us. It's certainly not mere feel-good religion!)

Schooling:  Graduated Mt. Mary College in Theology

Interests:  Time with family and friends, camping, traveling, and relaxing in my own backyard. God, family, my classes at school, work with the church and growing relationships all enrich my life and interests.

Schooling: McKeesport High School, McKeesport, PA. Homestead Hospital School of Nursing, Marquette University, Parish Nurse Institute.

Interests: Husband and family, nursing, parish nursing, loving people, cooking & baking, music, church growth, swimming, sun and sand.

Favorite quotes or expressions: "Give and you will be given ten fold." A recent letter from my high school had a note from one of the graduates. It went like this, "In reference to the school and community: Thank you for growing me up the way you have, for instilling values and teaching me to care." I wish all people today could say that and that we could all have a wonderful, secure growing up.
