Stephen Ministries is a complete system for training and organizing lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals who are experiencing challenging life circumstances. These challenges include, but are not limited to, illness of oneself or family member, bereavement, job crisis, separation or divorce, childbirth or adoption, retirement, aging, relocation, disability, and other life transitions and spiritual crises. Stephen Ministry is one way North Shore Congregational Church actively demonstrates its Covenant to "live in the fellowship of the Gospel."

North Shore Congregational Church's seventeen Stephen Ministers offer distinctively Christian care to those in need who request this comforting support through the pastors, parish nurse or referral coordinators. Stephen Ministers are thankful to have this opportunity to reach out with God's love to members of our congregation and community.
