Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not
reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God
is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by
always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every
good work.
2 Corinthians 9:7-8
You are part of the plan.
The North Shore
Congregational Church Stewardship Board oversees Stewardship
Month each Fall. This effort helps to inspire and remind the members of
this church to consider how much we have been blessed, focus on what we
have been given, and how we can put it to work for God.
After receiving a personal guide that assists in
considering the level of giving, each member is asked to return an
Estimate of Giving by the end of the year. This allows the Church Board
to prepare a budget for the next year.
This is God’s plan. The offerings from
members make possible our worship services and all the ministries of the
church. They provide for the maintenance and care of God’s house;
spread the good news of God’s love and forgiveness; teach the
principles and love of our Savior to our youth; and provide fellowship
and inspiration to all who attend or visit our church. In short, through
the work of our church, you bring hope and love into your life and give
love and hope to others.
Your time
and talent is integral. Giving to the church is not just monetary.
The members of this church have many talents and other gifts to provide,
and the Stewardship Board encourages everyone to seek out and consider
opportunities to serve the church with their time and talents.
